We absolutely love the way dark nail polish looks so chic on short, manicured nails, but we always recommend that you use a base coat to prevent stains on your nails.

Not only will a base coat prevent nail polish stains, but it also serves as a strong foundation for the nail polish to adhere to, resulting in a longer lasting manicure.  It also often times contains ingredients which directly nourish the nail (remember - it IS the first product to touch your nail!) - and it also has ridge filling properties.  A smooth base and strong foundation is a must for a long-lasting manicure.
